Vinegar and citrus cleaning spray, eco, DIY, no waste

Hi! I come to you today with a recipe for a cheap and universal household cleaning spray.

Are you planning great spring cleaning in the spring? Then this post is just for you! 🙂 The liquid is easy to prepare from products that you already have at home. It is efficient and perfectly cleans even the most dirty surfaces. It is most suitable for cleaning windows. It also works on stone and burning. It is antibacterial, and it repels ants and other pests. However, the addition of citrus makes the vinegar smell not so noticeable or tiring. The fluid is ecological and complies with the No Waste philosophy, so it’s definitely worth a try. You may like it and thanks to that you will save a lot on cleaning agents during the year. Will you try my quick recipe? I invite you to the article.

Citrus vinegar cleaning spray diy

Ingredients:

  • vinegar
  • Citrus peels: oranges, lemons, mandarins etc.
  • washed and scalded jar
  • spray bottle

How to make cleaning spray diy no waste:

We brew a glass container. We throw peeled fruit peel into it as we eat it. In order not to forget, it’s best to hold the jar next to the fruit. Pour vinegar over the skins. As the skins are being filled, the vinegar should be gradually added, so that the skins are always immersed in it, do not protrude above the liquid surfaces and do not dry out. We pour only fresh, soft leftovers. We keep the jar crazy all the time! As you can see, it is very similar to making macerates.

When we fill the jar, add vinegar and set aside in a dark place for at least a few days. Some recommend keeping the skins in vinegar for three weeks, but I have found that a few days of soaking is enough for the vinegar to undergo a fruity aroma.

Then we strain the liquid into another container. We throw away the skins. The fruit vinegar darkens, but if it’s not sour, it’s ok. I keep the liquid in the fridge just in case. For cleaning I use diy liquid mixed with water. I pour vinegar and tap water into a container with a trick in a half to half ratio. I shake to mix and it’s ready.
Just spray the dirty surface with liquid, wait a few seconds and wipe with a cloth.
I make the liquid in small portions, for use at once. I’m afraid that the addition of water will make it break quickly.

Such a liquid is a universal eco cleaning spray- diy and no waste

It is perfectly cleaned with all dirt, it also smells nice and fruity. Well, with only a slight hint of vinegar, which will soon windy 🙂 However, this is a subjective impression, check on yourself whether this smell suits you. I used to buy eco cleaning liquids for shower cabins, which contained, among others, vinegar. I must admit that it was not a pleasant aroma. But here I have no problem.

I have already made lemon and tangerine cleaner and both worked well. Why with tangerines? Well, I had a lot of this fruit at home and it was a pity to throw away the skin 😉 However, perhaps the liquid made of orange peels would smell more intense and fruity. I will do it next time and let you know how it worked.

I recommend trying this recipe, it will definitely be useful at home cleaning for the forthcoming spring!
