Hey, dear friends! Today I’m coming to you with a review of products from Maybelline, Bourjois, Max Factor i.e. former favorite cosmetics in my makeup. These will be powders, face primers and concealers from well-known drugstore companies that have worked well for me and I can still recommend to you.
My top 5 drugstore cosmetics, if we don’t pay attention to natural ingredients. If I have interested you in these cosmetics, I invite you to my short review.
No. 1 Maybelline AffiniTone
A foundation I used constantly for a good few years. I had color 16, 14 and 3, but strangely enough they all suited me, they just matched my skin. Over the years I’ve reached for it with pleasure, because it’s light and pleasant, blends in nicely and holds decently on the face, doesn’t rub off and doesn’t clog. I practically can’t feel it on my face, like a bb cream, but it has great coverage. It’s also runny, so you have to apply rather with your fingers for a satin finish with a light, natural sheen. The downside is the twist-off cap and the soft tube, like the old-style cosmetics.
No. 2: Bourjois Healthy Mix
This is a good drugstore moisturizer. I still had the old version of the packaging and formulation, but it has only changed for the better. Shade 53 was perfect for fair skin with a yellow undertone. I bought it as the first conscious cosmetic from the natural color line when I started to be interested in it. At the time it cost about $30, and the checkout line on the day of the promotion was really long. The foundation smells very nice and is quite opaque, and has a slightly better composition, although it was still silicone-based and quite typical. It looks healthy and natural on moisturized skin, and adds a satiny glow. It spreads smoothly, does not streak or stain. It is quite pleasant comfortable to wear and very efficient -when I wanted to switch to Alverde and Alterra, I tried to use it up for a really long time.
No.3 Max Factor Lasting Performance Make – Up, Lasting Performance Face Primer, 105
Max Factor Lasting Performance Make-Up foundation has quickly become my favorite daily makeup product. I bought it in London for pennies and used the shade 105 soft beige for many years. I loved its ease of application and amazing longevity. It has good coverage, but at the same time has a light and slippery formula, typically silicone and not too runny, so it spreads well and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film. The foundation lasts flawlessly throughout the day, does not rub off, does not clog or cake. No. 1 primer of my early youth that I can recommend to you, especially for quick touch-ups.

No. 4 Maybelline New York, Pure Cover Mineral (Mineral liquid concealer)
I bought this concealer through the promises of minerals and with the idea of camouflaging dark circles under my eyes, so that’s mainly how I used it, though it worked well on the rest of my face as well. It has a creamy consistency and is easy to apply, although the packaging and applicator are quite small. The powdered product lasts all day, doesn’t roll off, doesn’t get clogged or weighed down. Its coverage is good and for everyday quick makeup it was as suitable as possible, only the composition was not very natural and over time the residue in the packaging began to darken. I remember it fondly and can still recommend it.
Edit: Currently not available in Poland.
No. 5 Oriflame Love Nature, Concealer stick with tea tree oil and rosemary
I think this was my first makeup product I bought for myself when I was young, and I often reached for it again afterwards. The idea behind the product is interesting, because the concealer in the form of a stick has two sides, so you get 2 in 1 for a very low price, and on top of that it was effective on pimples-the green part with tea tree oil actually dries up pimples and makes them disappear faster. The concealer smells pleasant and is creamy, the coverage is quite light, but after two coats and after using both sides it can be worked with. An inexpensive sure thing to always have in your purse.
Edit: Currently available for sale only in the green version.
Conclusion:
Primers and concealers of this type have worked for me because they are cheap, efficient and well formulated. They completely meet my expectations for the performance of drugstore makeup and I will definitely still recommend them to you.
