Sleek Precious Metals, Face Highlighter Palette

Hey, dear friends! Today I’d like to tell you about Sleek Make Up Precious Metals, Highlighting Palette, which is a face and eye highlighter palette. It is a tiny but elegant palette, perfect for travel and in a hurry for everyday use. Sleek is a medium-shelf drugstore brand from England, which, however, has little to do with the clean beauty movement.

It was very popular with us, too, thanks to its eyeshadow palettes, of which I also had a dozen or so. No wonder, because this makeup is cheap and works well. Before I switched an natural color clean beuty, I used this palette regularly for many years. It’s still available for purchase and is breaking records in popularity. Are you curious how this Sleek palette worked out for me? Feel free to read the rest of the review.

My review of the Sleek Make Up Precious Metals palette:

Packaging:

The Pixi palette came packaged in a cardboard box and is enclosed in a very elegant metal box with a gold sheen. It’s heavy and sturdy, nothing in it has broken or cracked, even despite two trips. The size of the four highlighters in relation to the price comes out very favorably, plus we have a flat brush. My palette was a bit chipped, so I bought it on a big promotion, and I quickly repaired the product with a paring.

Shades and properties:

In this palette there are three cream highlighters and one powder. I bought it because I thought it would be an all-purpose face palette, perfect for travel and in a hurry on a daily basis to lay open on the dressing table and have everything at hand. In one package we have 4 different colors to choose from. Unfortunately, this didn’t quite work out. This palette is not suitable for everyday use, because the shades are too dark for fair skin, but for evening makeup I just love it.

The lightest highlighter is almost white and in a cool shade, it gives a light taffy on the tops of the cheekbones, but slightly whitens the face. The second one is warm and pretty, but it has big glitter particles, so I usually used it as an eyelid or collarbone topper. The third shade was perfect for me, just a warm, champagne gold, and I must admit that all of it has already been used up, as it is most suitable for everyday use. I also tried mixing it with a light one to warm it up a bit, but they didn’t blend very well. The last one actually looks like a golden, bright, illuminating bronzer and that’s how I used it. It’s suitable as an eyeshadow for big outings.

As for the quality of the product itself, it is also fine. The cream products are easy to apply with fingers, they don’t streak, but they do move the foundation a bit. The longevity is average, sometimes the glitter sits on the cheeks. The white shade faded quickly for me and now it’s hard to spread it without making spots, so I use up the palette for my body, in the summer it works great for that.

Conclusion:

This palette is definitely for those who like warm shades and strong flashes, typical for an evening look. It’s definitely worth trying it, as the price is low and the quality is quite good. I don’t regret the purchase, as it was an interesting experience and I still love using it, although I expected a more natural effect.
