Ghassoul clay, cinnamon, keratin | DIY scalp scrub

Hey! I come to you today with another post about DIY cosmetics, this time it is Ghassoul Clayhomemade DIY clay-based scalp scrub. Such a basic recipe for a mechanical peeling is very simple and widely known, you only need to mix (in a container or just before washing) the clay with a selected conditioner or hair mask. We can also use a shampoo or oil.

I usually use white clay for this, because it is the finest and the softest for the scalp, but I just ran out of it. So today I chose Ghassoul clay, known for its nourishing and cleansing properties. It is a great conditioner for hair, scalp as well as for the skin of the face and body with acne and imperfections. I’ve been using it for years with my face masks, and today I used all the rest to test my hair scrub. So, if you are interested in this homemade Ghassoul clay scrub, check out my simple recipe.

I really like DIY clay peelings, because they are gentle on the sensitive scalp, and at the same time close-fitting, and therefore easy to use for beginners. You can easily massage your entire head with them, without irritation and problems with rinsing. This recipe used to be a hit with blogs and hair lovers, but nowadays you can buy a lot of interesting ready-made products for testing. However, I like to come back to it once in a while, because my skin feels good in mixed care: acid or enzyme peeling alternately with mechanical peeling.

DIY peeling, notes:

This mechanical peeling is best used after hair oiling and before washing. It will help to emulsify the remnants and thoroughly cleanse the skin, while the oil will give it more glide. Then we wash the scalp with a mild shampoo.

In my recipe, there are additives in the form of oils and intermediates that work well for my skin. However, you can easily replace them with homemade moisturizing ingredients, such as honey, sugar or aloe vera, or make a basic scrub: conditioner with clay.

The basic version of the peeling can be kept ready, in the bathroom, in a twisted container, even for several weeks.
