Hey guys! Today I have another recipe for you for a delicious vegetarian dinner – lentil cutlets.
Perfect for barbecue, burgers and an addition to a traditional dinner. It’s easy and quick to make them, they are always successful and very healthy! A great source of protein and vitamins. Green lentil cutlets – how to make?
- 100 g of green lentils;
- 2 carrots;
- 2 parsley;
- 1/8 large celery root;
- clove of garlic;
- a small onion;
- 1/2 cup of couscous;
- spices: salt, herbal pepper, herbs, paprika
- corn flour;
- bread crumbs and frying oil
Boil the carrots, parsley and celery in water only. We cook the lentils separately. Pour boiling water over the couscous. When they cool down, grind the vegetables and lentils with a blender. We also grind the onion and garlic. We mix the ground ingredients with the couscous. At the end, season it and add a few tablespoons of semolina to make the cutlet mass stiffer. Put it in the fridge for a while.
Mix the corn flour with water, a small amount of oil and a little salt so that the whole has a medium-thick consistency. Form small cutlets, soak them in mixed corn flour, then in breadcrumbs and fry.
Tips and Notes:
In the non-vegan version or if you are concerned that they will break apart, you can add 1-3 eggs and less cornmeal, they will definitely be very compact.
Chops intended for the grill can be spiced more spicy or add grilled spice mixes to the meat. They can also be baked as above, with slices of cheese.
Chops can also be successfully frozen and reheated.
