Hi guys! Today I come to you with a recipe for a potion – it’s a home treatment that will help lower cholesterol and hypertension.
In times of the ever-increasing threat of lifestyle diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, we are increasingly turning to traditional treatment methods for help; we come back to organic products, potions and natural treatments that our ancestors used successfully in the fight for health and well-being.
One of the most popular is honey, which is mainly associated with a healthier alternative to sweetening food with sugar. However, when taken properly and prepared, it can also become an excellent medicine. The rest of the preparation’s ingredients are also known for their great healing properties. Combined in appropriate proportions, they can be an effective remedy for high blood pressure and lowering cholesterol levels. How to prepare a home treatment from them?
Home treatment with honey and garlic for hypertension and cholesterol
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of organic honey
- 1 large clove of garlic
- a piece of fresh ginger root
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
A method of preparing
Peel and grate (or press) a clove of garlic. Likewise, grate the ginger root. You can also add dried ginger from a teabag, but the mixture won’t have that good healing properties. Squeeze the lemon juice, without the pulp and seeds. If the honey is very thick, first put it into a container and rub it with a spoonful of lemon juice, then mix it thoroughly with the rest of the ingredients. This can be done by hand or with a blender, it is important that it is thoroughly mashed to a mousse or paste consistency, depending on the type of honey used.
The mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of a few days, then you should make a fresh portion.
Why these ingredients?
Honey on the heart
It is rich in potassium, calcium, sodium and B vitamins which help to prevent cholesterol from building up in the blood vessels. Acetylcholine contained in honey also strengthens the efficiency of the heart muscle.
Ginger for cholesterol
It contains an enzyme that improves cholesterol synthesis. It also has anticoagulant, anti-edema and blood pressure lowering effects.
Garlic for colds and pressure
Garlic facilitates the expansion of blood vessels and increases their elasticity. It prevents a heart attack, has anti-atherosclerotic properties and adds vitality. Regular consumption of garlic is effective in reducing blood pressure and acts as a natural antibiotic for colds.
Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice for acidification
Apple cider vinegar contains many vitamins and balances the pH level in the body. Lemon juice, rich in vitamin C, seals and tones the blood vessels. They reduce high cholesterol and lower blood thinning.
Use
It is best to eat the mixture before main meals (at least ten minutes). We take it no more than three times a day. Regular use should bring visible results after a week. However, the recommended dose must not be exceeded.
We should also remember that such a treatment with natural, home methods should be treated only as an auxiliary measure in comprehensive therapy recommended by a specialist doctor.
The treatment of hypertension involves appropriately selected supplementation, a low-calorie diet and exercise.
Do you use home treatments or rather traditional medications to reduce blood pressure prescribed by a doctor?
