Herbatint, 6N Dark Blonde hair dye, opinion and effects

Hello guys! Today I come to you with a review of the Herbatint dye, 6N Dark Blond hair dye in a wonderful shade of amber brown. I bought this shade with brown hair in mind because I read that all brown hair dyes from this company are terribly dark and you should choose a shade much lighter than the target shade.

I have recently dared to switch to using drugstore dyes in my hair dyes, although I am still a bit worried about it. It is a cosmetic advertised as a bit healthier for our hair, but let’s face it – it is still a chemical paint, full of artificial dyes and oxidant, but it contains milder ingredients and plant extracts.

Unfortunately, no natural paint or henna grabs my gray outgrowths anymore. So hope Herbatint will even out my hair to a uniform color and cover all the gray hairs and also not damage my damaged hair too much. If you are interested in what color came out for me, I invite you to review the paint and my effects.

Herbatint paint, my effects:

My opinion:

“Natural and healthier” hair dyes have been very popular recently on the cosmetic market, I used to buy them in pharmacies and online, now we can buy them at any drugstore store.

I decided to test it because of the beautiful color – 6N Dark Blonde in a wonderful shade of amber brown. I bought this shade with brown hair in mind because I read that all brown hair dyes from this company are terribly dark and you should choose a shade much lighter than the target shade. 6N is a light brown in a warm shade, falling into amber, which is something that I used to combine Casssi and light brown henna. On the packaging, at least, the color seems appropriate and the description promised to protect the hair.

Package:

In a box with prints typical of drugstore paints, we get quite a lot of elements; a bottle with a spout, gel-paint in a tube, shampoo, decent gloves and a small conditioner, and instructions.

There were no problems with applying, the paint is really gel, thick and does not run off the hair, has almost no smell. I covered the regrowth quickly, efficiently and pleasantly. The dyed leather was easy to clean. The head didn’t hurt and it didn’t itch. After the recommended time had elapsed, I dyed the rest of my hair to make it even better grip the color. After washing, I used shampoo and conditioner after dyeing.

Color

Herbatint dye of course dyed my hair a slightly darker color than stated on the package, but thanks to the reviews on the internet, I knew that it would rinse off to a lighter shade quickly. 6N is a very nice shade of brown, natural and luminous. The gray hair was covered in 90 percent, it turned out very nicely. The color is uniform, the hair is shiny and pleasant to the touch. I lost a small, standard amount when rinsing, less than with standard dyeing.

Herbatint, my opinion:

Unfortunately, in my case, this paint rinses off quickly, the color brightens a lot after a few washes. Neither bleached nor natural hair wanted to stick to the paint. Some time after dyeing I made some highlights and unfortunately they died after the paint was washed off. After that, I tried to dye my hair again, wrapping the strands in foil for protection, but unfortunately it all caught evenly, and after rinsing the paint out, it was only slightly lighter than the rest of my hair. I used this paint a few packages, regretting that it is so expensive and does not stick to my hair, because I actually had less hair falling out than with other chemical dyes of this type. However, I feel sorry for the money -50 zlotys every month for something that does not work for me, it dries my hair a lot and let’s face it – every, even the mildest, color will gradually damage our hair, because it still contains ammonia and artificial dyes. The addition of natural ingredients will soften its action, help us, but still not fully protect our hair.

Summary:

I recommend you to try it, it is worth testing and it is still a better alternative than the typical chemical stuff from drugstores. but if I had the opportunity, I would go back to completely natural hair dyeing with henna and herbs.

Do you know such paint? Is it worth using?
