Drinking yeast for hair growth – is it worth it? My effects

Hey guys! Today I have another post for you “on request” – how to drinking yeast for hair. This is a method that I wrote about some time ago.

I recently finished my second round of this hair growth method this year and decided to write more about the results. As you can already guess, taking them in the fall turned out to be so effective that I came back to do it again in the spring. I drank a cup of this drink every evening, and took a few days off in between.

Additionally, I was taking Falvit tablets and applying my DIY Henna, Amla and Fenugreek lotion to my scalp. What are the results? The actual inhibition of excessive hair loss, which can be seen immediately when washing and brushing, and a significant increase.

I have been a vegetarian for over a dozen years and for a long time I suffered from vitamin deficiencies, especially B vitamins. The result of a poor slimming diet was thinning hair and poor skin and nails condition. Since I use vitamins with iron, everything has improved, also thanks to the use of yeast – in tablets and in liquid. If you are interested in the effects, I invite you to the next part.

Drinking yeast for hair growth – is yeast healthy?

Surely each of you has come across this treatment for hair loss and quick hair loss. Why just food yeast? Yeast is a rich source of  B vitamins , improving e.g. the body’s resistance, the appearance of skin, hair and nails, and their condition. They also contain a number  of minerals  and amino acids , thanks to which they regulate the hormonal balance, lower blood sugar levels, reduce the appetite for sweets, eliminate free radicals and support regeneration and cleansing the body.

Therefore, from each yeast supplementation (also in tablets), we can expect inhibition of hair loss, acceleration of hair growth, improvement of the condition of nails and reduction of acne symptoms.

How to drink yeast?

Crush the right amount of yeast in a mug and pour boiling water or milk over it. Stir until dissolved and wait until it cools down, then season with selected additives. The drink itself is unpalatable to consumption. I wrote about the preparation of yeast drink in the previous post:

My impressions after three months of treatment

After finishing the first month, I have already noticed that my hair loss is starting to decrease. At the beginning I told myself this a bit to make it easier for me to stick to something so special in taste. Then I compared the amount of hair lost after two washes over a 2-week period and I could be sure that the yeast therapy was working.
The taste of the drink is terrible, but you get used to it quickly. It is best to wait for the drink to cool down completely, because the taste is not that intense, and it also loses the smell of sludge. Drinking yeast for hair is not that easy… But the effects are definitely worth stuffing your nose.

Drinking yeast – fresh or instant?

For the first few days, I prepared a drink with 1/5 cube of fresh yeast. It had to be precisely measured and crushed, which was not the most convenient. I definitely prefer to measure out dry instant. I increased the dose of yeast in this treatment every few days, reaching half the drink cubes.

I think fresh yeast was more effective, I tested it for three weeks and saw the difference. Unfortunately, there was a less practical solution – dried yeast is easier to store and the preparation of the drink is much faster.

Soon drinking yeast became my daily routine, as was the silicone serum on the ends of my hair. I drank a cup of this drink every evening, and took a few days off in between. Additionally, I was taking Falvit tablets and applying my DIY Henna, Amla and Fenugreek lotion to my scalp.

I experimented with the taste and additives to the drink, e.g. I discovered how it improves the taste of cocoa and oat milk and erythritol, which does not react with yeast, so you can easily sweeten it with it. Unlike sugar, stomach ache guaranteed!

Drinking yeast- my effects

What are the results? The actual inhibition of excessive hair loss, which can be seen immediately when washing and brushing, and a significant increase. I have been a vegetarian for over a dozen years and for a long time I suffered from vitamin deficiencies, especially B vitamins. The result of a poor slimming diet was thinning hair and poor skin and nails condition. Since I use vitamins with iron, everything has improved, also thanks to the use of yeast – in tablets and in the form of a drink. So I can see the real difference in stopping my hair loss.

My hair grew much faster. During these three months, I had to do additional dyeing of the roots. Unfortunately, I also cut the tips, so it’s difficult for me to measure the growth, I hope that in the first month it was about 2 cm, and in the third month it was at least 3 cm. Which is much more than my standard 1 cm. In addition, I noticed a rash of baby hair – when I am cycling, no hairpin will keep it.

So it seems that drinking yeast is a great remedy for hair loss!

Drinking yeast -effects on my skin and nails

I don’t really have major blemish problems, just blackheads and a few pimples before my period, so I didn’t notice any special difference in this category. But I know a lot of girls have had trouble getting blemishes when the skin is undergoing the healing process.

However, I noticed a very good effect on the nails. I have soft, damaged nails that bend ugly underneath when they reach a certain length. Even the hardening conditioner will not help much here, they break and crumble. During the treatment, the spots have disappeared somewhere, and the plaque seems to be harder. I even managed to wear longer, nice nails for a while – to work in the garden … Despite this, the effect was really satisfactory.

Summary:

I consider the treatment of drinking yeast for hair to be extremely effective. I see a real difference in the amount of lost hair, my hair grew much faster, which is clearly visible in the regrowth and the condition of damaged nails has also improved. In addition, the method was cheap – a pack of fresh yeast cost pennies, and I bought dried yeast for 0.60 groszy each. As you can see, I am satisfied with these results and I will definitely continue the hair yeast treatment after a long break. Maybe again next year! Expect DIY mask recipes too!

Do you use such natural methods of supplementation or rather hair pills?
