DIY Toner with Gluconolactone, for acne and capillaries

Hey! I am coming to you with another post about DIY cosmetics, this time it will be a homemade DIY Tonic with Gluconolactone, for acne and capillaries. This simple recipe comes from the website with semi-finished products, from the old days when you couldn’t buy natural cosmetics with good composition.

Today, store shelves are bent under the weight of cosmetics – but expensive and not always with natural composition. So I thought that it is worth refreshing this recipe, because good care does not have to be expensive. DIY tonic restores radiant glow to tired skin, evens skin tone, fights acne, accelerates healing and reduces imperfections, brightens discolorations, reduces erythema, visibility of capillaries and inflammations, and supports the fight against time.

Homemade tonic with Gluconolactone based on semi-finished products is one of the simplest and cheapest ways for a radiant, bright and young complexion. I’ve been using it for years and I don’t need to buy and test expensive cosmetics. I am giving you a general and richer recipe on how to create and make your own DIY cosmetic. Welcome to my entry.

Why is it worth using Gluconolactone in daily care?

Gluconolactone is an acid of the PHA type. These are very delicate but effective acids, they do not cause irritation or visible skin exfoliation, so they are perfect for acne, sensitive, couperose and mature skin.

DIY tonic restores radiant glow to tired skin, evens skin tone, fights acne, accelerates healing and reduces imperfections, brightens discolorations, reduces erythema, visibility of capillaries and inflammation. It also supports the fight against time by smoothing wrinkles and scavenging free radicals. DIY Toner with Gluconolactone and Niacinamide

Ingredients:

  • 35 ml of demineralized water (e.g. for ironing) or hydrolate
  • 5 ml Gluconolactone
  • 5 ml Hyaluronic acid (or glycerin)
  • 4.5ml Niacinamide
  • 0.5 ml Panthenol
  • a pinch of Allantoin
  • natural preservative, in my case 1 ml

Time needed: 5 minutes.

  1. Preparation of ingredients.
We will prepare a sterile beaker. We take
5 ml of water into a beaker (e.g. with a new syringe without a needle, a measuring cup) or we do it directly in the cosmetic packaging. We measure the ingredients.

  2. Mixing.
We measure the ingredients. We dissolve the gluconolactone in the water phase in the beaker. Stir, shake to dissolve.

  3. Finished.

Add the rest of the powders, mixing the liquid well each time. Pour the rest of the water. Shake the bottle and mix so that everything is well combined, add a preservative if necessary. We turn and it’s ready.

Remarks:

We use the tonic in the morning or in the evening, apply it as the 1st step of care on the face moistened with e.g. tonic. And then serum and cream, because the tonic increases the effect of active substances.
You just need to remember that such a mixture will be sticky, and the rest of the care may roll, but the toner is a good base for makeup and filters.

PHA acids (like gluconolactone) can also be used in spring and summer, of course I always recommend using a spf 50 filter.

Without a preservative, the tonic must live in the fridge and be used quickly, although none have gone bad for me yet.
