Lamination of hair with jelly – a step by step recipe

  1. Dissolving jelly.Dissolve a tablespoon of jelly in a bowl in a small amount of hot water. Be careful with the quantity, too much will make the mass too slippery and inconvenient to handle. Just a little bit is enough for everything to dissolve well.
  2. Mixing the potion. We dissolve the mass just before use. Make sure that the mixture does not contain any lumps, it must be thoroughly mixed.
  3. We leave the mass to cool.During this time, we wash our hair, preferably twice with a strong shampoo. We dry it gently with a towel.
  4. We add conditioner. To the still warm mass, add hair conditioner – about a spoonful or in an amount sufficient to cover the entire hair. We mix thoroughly. The mass should be thick and sticky.
  5. If we have lumps …Mix them thoroughly, you can reheat the mass, e.g. in a water bath, or try to break the lumps / mix them with a mixer.
  6. Applying the mask.We apply this mixture to damp hair, try to cover it thoroughly and completely. We can massage the mass with our fingers into the strands to make it work even better.
  7. We wrap the head with foil and wrap it in a warm towel.Leave the mask on the head for min. 30 minutes, then thoroughly rinse the hair with only water. We end with a cool stream for the best results. Ready!

Lamination of hair with jelly at home- remarks

It is best to choose a colorless jelly, e.g. grape jelly, especially if you have fair hair. For reds and browns, one with a yellow dye, e.g. lemon, will do.

The brand of the product does not matter, it can be any food jelly from discounters.

Remember that this is a protein treatment. This method should not be used too often , not every time you wash your hair, but about once or twice a month. Too frequent use can dry out and reprotein the hair.
Of course, we supplement the care with other PEHs, i.e. emollients and humectants.

I am delighted with the effect of the lamination treatment on my hair every time and I highly recommend it to you.

Let me know if you will take up the challenge of trying the treatment and how it worked for you!
