Hair oiling for a month – treatment summary

Hey guys! Today I have another post for you about growing your hair, this time it will be hair oiling for a month. More than a month ago, I started this treatment, taking advantage of the fact that rainy weather and Covid-19 do not allow too much outdoor activity.

Today it’s time to sum up my hair growth therapy. I carried out the treatment every day, for the entire month. I was rubbing DIY oil from herbs, garlic and onion into my scalp, the recipe for which will be published here soon on the blog, and oil with henna and amla extracts. For the length of the hair, I used different oils interchangeably, although most often those that were in my current design of the bottom. Thanks to this, I managed to finish a few, which makes me very happy; after all, they have been with me for far too long. I also managed to use up the conditioners that have been on my bathroom shelf for too long. After all, I was washing my hair almost every day, it did a bit of it.

I was hoping that such daily hair oiling would bring good results in growing and improving the condition of my hair along its length. Over the last few years, I have been oiling my hair regularly, almost every time I wash my hair, but my oil reserves are not exhausted. From time to time I also carry out a weekly treatment – hair oiling using the inversion method, which also worked very well for me. This time, however, I decided to follow in the footsteps of other hair bloggers who are now doing monthly hair oiling treatments with forced isolation. It was a good idea to keep your mind busy with something other than a virus, and to take care of your hair when nobody sees us every day and we don’t have to look show. So if you are interested in my daily hair oiling effects and the inversion method, please read on.

Hair oiling for a month – what was my treatment for fast hair growth?

  • I started oiling my hair by washing it thoroughly with a cleansing shampoo, peeling and nourishing mask.
  • The treatment also ended with such washing and decent, emollient care.
  • I carried out the treatment every day, performing thorough oiling of both the scalp and the length.
  • I rubbed my scalp with my proven DIY herbal oil, garlic and onion oil, and henna oil, recipes for which will appear on my blog soon.
  • For the length of my hair, I used different oils interchangeably, although most often those found in my current bottom design.

  • The foundation for scalp oiling is my three-herb rub, on which I also apply oil.
  • Then I perform a decent skin massage with my fingers and devices with protrusions, I also performed a scalp massage using the inversion method to further stimulate blood circulation and nourish the hair roots.
  • I usually oiled the length with a moisturizing foundation, most often on a spray conditioner, kewra water, aloe vera gel or Ziaja tonic.
  • I kept the oil in my hair for at least an hour, although it happened all day.
  • Sometimes I don’t wash off the oil until the next day, and I added a smaller portion and washed my hair every other day.
  • After this time, I washed the oil off my hair, first with water, then with an emulsifying conditioner, sometimes with shampoo.
  • I kept the PEH balance by exchanging hair conditioners, but trying to use as many products from my bottom design as possible.
  • I also used a light herbal scalp lotion and a bit of serum on the ends.
  • I did not supplement the treatment in any other way, neither with supplements nor cosmetics, so that my test of improving hair quality and growth after a month of using the treatment was as reliable as possible.

Hair oiling for a month – what results have I achieved?

Many hair bloggers have been carrying out such tests and treatments for many years. Their results, which I recently watched on Instagram reports, look very promising. So what did I achieve after a month of regular hair oiling?

  • significant increase in hair growth – I can see more than cm of regrowth from the last dyeing!
  • discharge of baby hair and hair thickening
  • atresia of “bald” hairs on the forehead
  • shine and smoothness along the length, the hair has a better structure, appears thicker and stronger
  • greater flexibility of tips
  • improvement of the general condition and appearance of the hair
  • improving the health of the scalp
  • no dryness and even good hydration of the hair
  • Despite my fears, the scalp has not got used to daily washing and it does not get greasy any faster
  • the habit of massage and oiling before each subsequent wash
  • consumption of residual oils and conditioners

The last point proved to be the most effective for me, during this month of oiling I managed to use a few bottles of oils and conditioners, a lot of intermediates and aloe vera gel. I also used in rotation all the other cosmetics that I usually wash my hair with.

Hair oils:

I managed to use a little DIY oil from herbs, garlic and onion, the recipe for which will be available soon on the blog, and oil with henna and amla extracts. For the length of my hair, I used different oils interchangeably, although the most common ones were those found in my current bottom design: argan oil, fig opuntia oil and the rest of evening primrose oil. I think it is a very good result for monthly oiling!

Oil primers:

I used up the old oil-aloe serum, aloe vera gel, water from the kewra, Alverde conditioner, which was very little, and two capsules of lecithin, which, however, went to me as additives for tuning masks.

Masks and conditioners:

A lot of my hair products from the bottom design now wear much more, which makes me very happy! However, I completely managed to use only four products: Balea mango conditioner, for washing and emulsifying, Vis Plantis fenugreek mask for the same purposes, Ziaja goat milk conditioner as protein, and Ziaja mask intense color, emollient mask with silicones, which I often used on length and closure of care. Here, too, I think it is a very good result, especially as I went through all currently open hair cosmetics in the course of a whole month.

Summary

As you can see, this treatment was very promising. It may seem that washing every day was troublesome, especially since it’s cold and I have long hair. However, it did not bother me at all, because they dry quickly, and such hair oiling for a few minutes can be easily integrated into your daily routine. I did not notice any other disadvantages of the treatment, I do not dry out, and I even have good hydration of my hair, and despite my fears, the scalp has not got used to daily washing and it does not get greasy any faster. So I will continue my tests in a few months with another round of hair oiling. I also hope that someone will join me and we will feel better in everyday oiling and massages.
