DIY hair mask “rose and coconut” | homemade conditioner

  • DIY, Hair

Hey loved ones! Today I have another recipe for homemade potions – DIY rose and coconut hair mask. It is a mask on the finished product, i.e. tuning a hair conditioner from the shop so that it works best and meets the needs of our hair even more.

For this mixture, I chose the Cosnature Rose Moisturizing Mask, which is thick and nourishing, so it worked brilliantly on my hair. However, to enhance its effects, it has been mixed with coconut oil, honey, rose and argan oil. Together, they created an oily texture, so my DIY mask spreads well on damp hair.

So it is another method of hair oiling – using a nourishing and oily mask. It is so great and easy to use that it is very easy to apply to hair, and everything is easy to rinse off. It does not need to be emulsified with a conditioner and there is no way of overburdening the hair due to overdoing it with oils.

I love to nourish my hair this way, especially during the winter months when frost, humidity, radiators and dry air are seriously damaging my curly hair. After such a mask, they are always smooth and very soft, and they shine wonderfully. If you are interested in what my recipe for a DIY rose hair mask looks like, check out my short post.

  1. We prepare the necessary ingredients.
Mask, oils, additionally a bowl and a spoon. Take the butters and oils out of the refrigerator to keep them at room temperature.

  2. We mix.
We dissolve coconut oil. We measure the conditioner, lotion and oils into the bowl and mix them well. At the end, add honey and vitamin e, mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are combined.

  3. We put on the mask.

The mixture is best massaged with your fingers into the scalp and the length of freshly washed hair with strong shampoo.

  4. Cap.

Then we wrap the hair with foil and / or a cap so that the heat will help the mask work even better. We keep the mask on the head for about 20 minutes, not longer.

  5. Washing.
We wash the scalp thoroughly once with a mild shampoo, and the length with the resulting foam. We close the treatment with a light emollient conditioner.

Comments:

As a base conditioner, you can use any simple emollient mask without sticking agents, proteins and silicones, such as Kallos Color, Gloria, Hegron, Sessio, Russian etc. You can also use a simple moisturizing conditioner – then you don’t have to add honey anymore.

Oils can be replaced with those that best serve our hair (or those that we have at home), any cooking oils available in our kitchen will also be suitable – olive oil, rapeseed oil and even butter.

It is important to properly wash off such a mask!

It is necessary to wash it off with a shampoo, and to close the care, we can also use a light emollient conditioner, without or with the addition of silicones. You can start it in your hair and / or leave it for about five minutes. We can also use a light leave-in conditioner and / or serum.
