DIY chocolate face mask | creamy and nourishing

Hey! I come to you today with another post about DIY cosmetics, this time it will be a DIY chocolate homemade face mask. Such a mask with the addition of clay, cocoa, cream and oils is very nourishing, so it is especially recommended for dry and tired skin, because it has an anti-stress and soothing effect, firms and also greatly strengthens the protective barrier of our skin.

This is my favorite mask, I love to make it at the end of a tiring and difficult day. Such a chocolate fragrant spa immediately puts me in a wonderful mood. The mask is always perfect for me! It is very cheap and simple to make at home. The addition of a cream makes the mask thick and smooth and easy to apply, and it will not dry out as quickly as it is in the case of clay. This causes unpleasant skin tightening, and even its drying. That’s why I love these moisturizing ingredients – just mix them in a bowl and we can apply them to the face moistened with the hydrolate. Here is a simple recipe for how to create and make your own homemade cocoa and oil facial mask. Please see my post.

  1. Preparation.Melt the chocolate in a microwave or in a water bath. We measure out the remaining ingredients.
  2. Mixing.Add all ingredients and mix / mix until smooth, until the paste is thick. If necessary, add a few drops of milk / hydrolate if the paste is too thick.
  3. Overlap. We put the mask on the skin moistened with the mist, making gentle, massaging movements. We cover the entire face and neck, leave it for about 15-20 minutes, making sure that the paste does not dry out. Moisten with the hydrolate if necessary. We wash it off with warm water.

Chocolate mask – properties and application:

Such a mask with the addition of clay, cocoa, cream and oils is very nourishing, so it is especially recommended for dry and tired skin, because it has an anti-stress and soothing effect, firms and also greatly strengthens the protective barrier of our skin. It provides tired skin with lots of vitamins, it is also rich in tannins and mineral salts. So it will also help us in the fight against dry skin, acne and enlarged pores.

The addition of a cream makes the mask thick and smooth and easy to apply, and it will not dry out as quickly as it is in the case of clay. This causes unpleasant skin tightening, and even its drying.

For this purpose, I usually use samples of creams, which I always have a lot – I get them for free when shopping from online stores and pharmacies. Such a small sample is just right for this mask.
Therefore, you should always remember to moisten your face with e.g. a tonic or a hydrolate, and to keep the mask for no longer than 10-15 minutes. After washing it thoroughly with warm water, apply the serum and cream.
