Lily Lolo, Face modeling duo set

Hey guys! Today it’s time for the second part of the review of the new Lily Lolo makeup cosmetics that recently appeared on my dressing table.

After a great mineral foundation and kabuki brush, which I have been using all the time lately, I started a review of the face modeling kit. So bronzer and Lily Lolo highlighter, closed together in an elegant box. I must say right away that this is the most beautiful makeup product from the all-natural market that I have ever seen.

After all, Lily Lolo is a more luxurious company, but I am very glad that other campaigns are following this path: they come up with new formulas of pressed minerals, eyeshadows in palettes, mascaras and liquid foundations. All this to make organic cosmetics similar to drugstore, ordinary cosmetics, to be easy to apply, quickly and efficiently to use them even in a hurry. This set definitely belongs to this type of news, so if you are wondering whether it is worth buying, I invite you to the rest of the review.

Use:

Using the Blush Brush or Bronzer Brush, apply the bronzer to the areas you want to contour – under the cheekbones, temples, jaw lines and the wings of the nose. Carefully rub all the boundaries. Now proceed to the application of the highlighter to places such as the tops of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow and brow bone.

My impressions:

Package:

I have to mention the packaging again which is just wonderful. Elegant and black and white, made of thin plastic and with a velvet logo. It is flat, thin and small in size. Closes with a latch that opens easily without the risk of a broken nail. I also liked the black and white packaging and its inner design. In the middle of the product we have a handy mirror and a division into bronzer and highlighter. It’s good that these cosmetics have a large capacity, because instead of it, there could be an empty chamber for a poor-quality brush, which would be useless for us 🙂 As it used to be in many similar products. Although knowing Lily Lolo, the brush couldn’t be that completely lame. Here we have a full 10 grams, which is 5 of each product. Amount that would probably be enough for a year of daily, sparing use on the cheeks. Because the cosmetic,

Consistency and application:

Both cosmetics have a smooth, creamy texture. It is not exactly the “cream to powder” type. Just a mineral powder pressed with oils and additives that make it so easy to work with. Thanks to this, it is also easy to pick up cosmetics both on a fluffy brush, a special brush for contouring and on fingers. They are well pigmented, but also easy to rub. It is certainly not easy to make stains with them. It doesn’t take a lot to properly emphasize the cheeks.

They are good to handle, they do not cause me any trouble, even when applied in a hurry. What’s more, they can be easily applied to a powder, i.e. a powdered mineral foundation. they do not boil, they do not rub off too quickly. They are quite durable, they come off the cheeks evenly. However, they contain oils and vitamin E, so potentially comodogenic ingredients. So some people may clog pores and cause skin rash, you have to take this into account. Argan oil usually clogs me up too, and I don’t use it alone on my face, but so far I haven’t had any bad symptoms, thankfully. Although I do wear bronzer almost every day.

Colour:

The bronzer looks medium-light in the package and a bit too warm. But on the skin, it turns into a cocoa, cooler bronzer perfect for contouring the cheeks. I think the color should be suitable for all skin types. The color is so light that it will not make a visible and ugly “crease” even on very fair skin, it can be easily rubbed.

It’s also easy to build, so people with darker complexions will also handle it easily. If you are not convinced by the color, I can recommend the Honolulu Pressed Bronzer by Lily Lolo. It will certainly prove to be the perfect contour for people with darker skin tones. It is cool and quite dark.

And the set, as I mentioned, I sometimes use it for contouring. Usually for the day, and for larger events, I help myself with an additional, darker bronzer, which I use to warm my face. It also works great here. As for the highlighter: I agree that for some people this golden-beige shade may be too dark. Then it doesn’t look very nice on top of the cheekbones.

Fortunately for me it is just right (warm skin with warm undertones, foundation: Lily Lolo Popcorn). In this case, you can use it as a blush or bronzer topper. And also for the eyebrow and eye makeup. Or an addition to the foundation or base to illuminate it. It is a pity that the product would go to waste, especially with such a good composition.

Summary:

I consider the Lily Lolo set to be a great product, really worth trying. The price is high, but taking into account all the good features of the product, it doesn’t seem so deterrent to me. Especially that I have repeatedly used the bronzer for eye makeup and face warming. And I had a box in my purse instead of a mirror, because it is small and handy, you can always improve your cheeks even by rubbing it with your finger 🙂 No, I think the price is just right. If I ever had to switch to minimalism and only leave myself a few products, this set would definitely be there. It is universal and excellent.
