Hello guys! Today I have prepared another recipe for DIY hair cosmetics for you, i.e. Gelatin Gel for styling and hair care, which will help us achieve beautiful, smooth and shiny curls. You must have heard about gelatin and jelly lamination of hair a long time ago, because the recipe for a laminating mask is the most popular recipe in the hair blogging community and on my blog.
No wonder, it is very cheap, easy to make and a really good cosmetic. Few people know that gelatin can also be used as a hair styler – it works in the same way as linseed slime. So today I want to show you my DIY recipe for refusal of gelatin styler. Completely natural and no waste! Gelatin gel has great nourishing and fixing properties. It will help us to achieve soft curls in a simple and quick way, both when kneading and curling them mechanically, and also nourishes them perfectly. Remember, however, that this is a protein styler, so I wouldn’t use it too often, but always with the PEH balance.
So maybe you need a recipe that is neither time-consuming nor requires practice to make. It always works for that. If you are interested in this simplest recipe, I invite you to the rest of the post.

Why Gelatin Gel for curly hair?
Gelatin is an animal protein produced from collagen. After dissolving in water, it forms a viscous solution, turning into jelly after cooling. Gelatin has many properties in cosmetics, especially it does great hair conditioning and fixing properties. It will help us to achieve soft curls in a simple and quick way, both when kneading and curling them mechanically, and also nourishes them perfectly. Remember, however, that this is a protein styler, so I wouldn’t use it too often, but always with the PEH balance.

Time needed: 30 minutes.

- We mix the ingredients.
Pour a tablespoon of gelatin into a glass of warm water and mix thoroughly until completely dissolved.
- Putting down.
Leave the mixture in the fridge until it sets. When ready, it should be slightly liquid, but still jelly-like, easy to scoop up.
- Freezing.
However, if we are in a hurry, we can use fewer ingredients: instead of 1 tablespoon per glass of water, we use 1 tablespoon for half a glass of water, and put the whole thing in the freezer for a while to thicken it.
- Ready!
Tear off the mass with your fingers and rub it in your hands if it thickens too much. With such a gel, we style wet hair as usual.

Remarks:
Keep the gel in the refrigerator. It has a shelf life of about a week. It can also be preserved with cosmetic intermediates, e.g. FEOG.
You can also add slime, semi-finished products, humectants or fragrance oils.
Gelatin gel is much stronger than linseed glutton, so remember to be careful with its amount, and also to maintain the balance of PEH – these are pure proteins.
Summary
As you can see, for just a few zlotys we can have a DIY homemade styling gel and a really great effect in conscious hair care. I am delighted with the effect of gelatin on my hair every time and I highly recommend it to you.
Let me know if you will take up the challenge of trying the gel and how it worked for you!
