Aloe aqua gel for face and body care Marion

Hey guys! Today I would like to show you new products in my care – Marion aloe gel.

It is little known in the world of natural cosmetics, but an interesting product with a good composition – it contains 30% aloe and cucumber extract, so it will be perfect for body, hair and face care after sunbathing. I once spotted this gel in Biedronka, and as I ran out of my favorite GorVita aloe gel, I bought it without thinking. The price of about PLN 7 and the promises of a natural composition on the packaging were also attractive. And of course I didn’t notice that there was so little aloe in the product. But we have cucumber juice and other moisturizers, so although this gel is not necessarily suitable for hair, I use it every day as a light serum under the face cream, for masks, for mixtures – a light, refreshing, universal moisturizer. Marion gel with aloe and cucumber – a cheap alternative to Holika aloe gel? If you want to know how it worked for me

Composition and analysis:

Aqua , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice  – aloe leaf juice, Glycerin  – humidifier, Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract  – cucumber extract, Trehalose  – moisturizer, Carrageenan (Chondur Crispus)  – thickener, Allantoin  – soothing, Polysorbate 20  – emulsifier,  Xanthan Gum  – thickener , Parfum  – fragrance, Potassium Sorbate ,  Sodium Benzoate  – preservatives, Citric Acid , Tromethamine  – pH regulator

As you can see, we have a lot of aloe vera juice in the composition, I don’t know about the manufacturer’s promise that there will be 30% of it, which is also not a huge amount, considering 80% or 90% gels available on the market. Next is also cucumber extract and some moisturizing substances. The composition complies with the natural declarations of the manufacturer, does not contain any toxic additives, but is also not very rich.

My opinion:

A nice green tube contains 150 ml of aloe vera gel. It is convenient to use, although the flap broke off right away. Too large opening – it is difficult to dose and sometimes it pours too much. The product itself is also watery, thin, with a completely different consistency than Holika gel, but it is well-rubbed on the skin and smells unobtrusive, so cucumber and fresh. It is absorbed for a long time, leaving a sticky, slippery feeling that wears off soon after. Sometimes it rolls under the cream. As you can see, it is unfortunately not the best exchanger of the famous aloe vera gel.

When it comes to other applications, such as oiling or lubricating hair ends, the gel is also suitable, although I doubt that cucumber extract will help our hair, so maybe it doesn’t make much sense – instead I used glycerin and I put Marion aloe gel on shelf with face cosmetics. When used as a serum under the cream, it moisturizes and refreshes it nicely and I think that’s how I will finish it. The gel can also be used for moisturizing mists, for irritated skin after epilation, under the eyes, after sunbathing, for masks and masks, homemade potions, etc.

It is also worth paying attention to the fact that aloe has a high sensitizing and irritating potential, it can cause irritation and allergic reactions, especially in allergic children. So I advise testing on a fragment of the skin before the first use; it’s always better to be careful.

Marion aloe gel – will I buy again?

No, I prefer to buy my favorite, cheap and proven GorVita gel, which I also use successfully for hair. Or, add and test the Holika aloe gel with 90% aloe, which this gel is in no way equal.

No: if you buy it as a universal gel and base for hair oiling.

Yes: for the price it is worth trying out and having a light, natural humidifier on hand.

Do you use such a cosmetic? For hair or as intended? Or maybe you know better substitutes?
