Sage rinse for shiny hair

Hey guys! Today I have prepared another post for you about natural methods of hair care – a sage leaf rinse.

Medicinal sage strengthens and nourishes the hair roots, helps fight dandruff and itching of the scalp caused by any irritation. It works well especially for brown hair, because it emphasizes the dark color of the hair, it can also slightly darken it, and it adds depth, smoothness and shine to brunettes.

Sage also reduces greasy hair and inhibits the excessive secretion of sebum. It is definitely worth getting interested in this plant and including it in your hair care. However, the rinse can straighten your hair a bit – remember that, curly hair! If you are interested in how it proved to be in the form of this simple rinse, I invite you to the rest of the post.

Why sage?

Medicinal sage has a strengthening and nourishing effect on the hair roots, it also has antibacterial and antifungal properties, which is why it helps fight dandruff and itching of the scalp caused by any irritation. It will also reduce the production of sebum, so that your hair won’t get greasy as quickly.

Sage has a valuable composition – it owes its unique effects to, among others: flavonoids, vitamins A, C, B vitamins and minerals such as zinc, iron, magnesium, and potassium.

A sage rinse is great for brown hair as it will add depth to dark hair colors. A sage rinse can also gently straighten your hair.

Where to buy sage?

Dried leaves can be bought in herbal stores, almost every pharmacy, fix teas can also be found in grocery stores, but it’s best to use whole, dried leaves, which work better than the powdered remnants of the herb in chemically dyed bags.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons (or 3 bags) of medical sage
  • Water

Execution:

Preparation of a rinse:

  1. Put the dried herbs in a bowl.Pour a liter of boiled, hot, but not boiling water.
  2. Cover the infusion and set aside to strain. It must be strained before use.

How to use rinse for hair?

Use the rinse after washing your hair and rinsing off the conditioner. Herbs infusion can dye, so it’s best not to pour it over your hair, but to soak it by putting your head in a bowl, dip your head in and carefully pour over the smaller container.

Then, wrap your head in an old towel and leave the rinse on for about 30 minutes for the hair to absorb the dyes. Roll out the towel and dry your hair as usual. Do not rinse your hair with water anymore.

It is enough to use such a rinse once a week, because it is a herbal remedy. As you know, they can overdry your hair.

Notes : For blondes who want to use a hair rinse only to strengthen the hair roots and for all those who are afraid of herbal drying, I recommend the method of rinsing the hair “for pineapple” – tie a loose bun of hair on the tops of the head, do not dip the head, only pour the scalp rinse down .
