Hey guys! I come to you today with new fragrance novelties, these will be Tosca, Tosca perfumes by the German brand Maurer & Wirtz.
Tosca by Maurer & Wirtz is a Floral Aldehyde fragrance for women. Top notes are aldehydes, orange blossom, bergamot and lemon. Heart notes are clove (spice), iris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose. Base notes are sandalwood, amber, musk, benzoin, civet, vanilla and vetiver.
This modest and cheap bottle is a classic and timeless perfume. They have been with us for almost 100 years, and the fragrance continues to delight the next generation of elegant women. I treated Tosca perfumes as a curiosity. I added to the basket when shopping online, because for the price of a few zlotys, you can buy a scent that will be useful at home. In a sense, not as an air freshener, but for learning and getting used to retro perfume climates.

Tosca perfume by Maurer & Wirtz
Tosca perfume by Maurer & Wirtz is a floral-aldehyde composition from 1921. Released on the market by the German brand Maurer & Wirtz. Still produced, albeit in small amounts.
Scent Notes of Tosca by Maurer & Wirtz:
- heads: bergamot, amalfi lemon, orange, neroli and aldehydes;
- hearts: jasmine, lily of the valley, rose, ylang-ylang and narcissus;
- bases: vanilla, amber resin, French labdanum and patchouli.

Package
This tiny bottle looks inconspicuous. Judging by the packaging itself – a simple bottle like a perfumed deodorant for men from the last century – you could say that it will be a very retro fragrance. In addition, a strange price – all PLN 6 in online perfumeries. But don’t let this fool you! When browsing the classifieds, you can find the same fragrance at different prices. And perfumes, together with the entire line of cosmetics, are still sold in Germany at a high price – PLN 60, PLN 80. Why is it so cheap with us? Well, it happens that warehouses sell the remnants of perfume stocks that have disappeared from our market for various reasons. In this way, you can find vintage pearls or celebrity perfumes cheaply, which are not accepted by us, although they are of decent quality.
Projection and durability
Hardly anyone would reach for this bottle when there are so many modern, sweet and fruity fragrances in expensive perfumeries. However, I did not get discouraged by Tosca, on the contrary, I love to hunt for cosmetic pearls, I love good prices and I promised myself that I would expand my perfume knowledge, learn and test new fragrance families. So I treated Tosca perfumes as a curiosity – I added to the basket when shopping online, because for a price of a few zlotys you can buy a fragrance that will be useful at home. In a sense, not as an air freshener, but for learning and getting used to retro perfume climates.
However, this cold spring I enjoy using them on many occasions, not only for testing, but also for going out and walking, but on the more cloudy, rainy and cool days this spring. Somehow this smell matched the rain, spring flowers bending with drops. I was right, perfumes unfold most beautifully on such days, and the fresh cologne opening quickly turns into a very pleasant, but quite elegant, feminine scent; with flowers, but not sweet, I would just write – elegant and warm flowers, worn by a woman who even dresses in an airy dress, even after buns, smells of the purity of creamy soap and a hint of perfume. It is true that my Tosca is only cologne and the fragrance has been refolding, but we still feel the echoes of the old elegance.
Smell
Tosca perfume is after all a rich bouquet of white flowers with irises and a sprig of jasmine. With a hint of amber and vanilla and a bit of refreshment thanks to citrus: bergamot, orange and lemon. Ylang-ylang, narcissus and neroli flowers develop beautifully on the skin. These perfumes are similar to the Private Collection Estee Lauder and Blue Grass Arden. Some people compare it with the climate of Shalimar and even – with Chanel No5. I can definitely agree with that. The smell of Tosca will not disturb anyone in public places. It’s not so old-fashioned and dusty as to draw attention, it’s nice and warm, elegant yet intriguing. It has a nice tail, decent projection.
Several times during the testing day, I found myself smelling my wrists in amazement, wondering if I was applying something new that smells so sensual and refined.
summarizing
It is a great fragrance for colder days, for every fan of original perfumes. This is Tosca. Classic and quality for pennies. A timeless gem, really worth trying, not only in the rain.
