Mulled wine with apples, honey and ginger | without sugar and alcohol

Hey! Today I have another recipe for you for healthy drinks: homemade Mulled wine with apples, honey and ginger. No sugar or alcohol and no harmful chemicals. You surely know the taste of traditional mulled wine, it was and still is a very popular addition to winter weather, as well as a drink for Christmas.

Today, mum will give you a slightly healthier version, also good for children and people on a diet. It is an easy-to-make, hot and delicious apple drink with hints of honey and spices. As you can see, mulled wine does not always need alcohol to taste and warm up. The smell and taste of spices will go well with Christmas dishes, and the addition of ginger will be useful especially after a hearty Christmas Eve dinner and to improve digestion, especially when we have had enough food.

Recipe for mulled wine with apples, honey and ginger

Ingredients:

  • unfiltered apple juice, preferably from renate, without sugar
  • a handful of dried apples
  • a piece of orange / mandarin (or juice)
  • ginger, fresh and / dried
  • 2 tablespoons of natural honey (or sweetener)
  • cloves, vanilla pod, cinnamon

Execution:

We cut the fruit.
Cut the larger fruit and spices – cut the vanilla sticks in half lengthwise.
Dried apples should be soaked in advance, pour them together with the water into a pot. Cut the ginger thin and fine.

Cooking,
Put all the spices in a larger pot and pour over the apple juice. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and cook for a few more minutes.

Seasoning.
We sweeten the mulled wine with honey and / add more spices to taste. Cover and set aside before serving for the mulled wine to bite. Add the orange to the decorations, directly to the cups. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Mulled wine can be served hot, warmed up after a hearty meal, or cold, to sip meals. You can strain it from the fruit or add more for decoration and flavor. In a carafe or in separate glasses, it always looks great! And it tastes delicious!
