Kallos Banana, strengthening hair mask | cheap and good

Hello guys! I come to you today with another short hair care cosmetics review, this time it’s the Kallos Banana mask. Kallos are very popular hair masks known from the blogs of hair maniacs, which used to break records of popularity. No wonder as they were very cheap, good and accessible. Such a universal mask with a poor composition and thin consistency was perfect for washing hair, emulsifying, closing care such as B / S and of course for tuning DIY or homemade masks and conditioners.

I, too, bought my Kallos Banana mask on the wave of their popularity, a long time ago. It was also one of the first nutritional supplements I consciously bought. I chose this fragrance spontaneously because in the middle of a cold winter it seemed warm and pleasant to me. I was right, it smelled divine, like pudding or banana dessert. Unfortunately, I did not know much about hair care back then, so such a large jar stood on the bathroom shelf for a long time until it expired, because it was used only as a traditional conditioner after washing short hair. If you are curious how it worked for me in this role, I invite you to the rest of the post and a short review.

My opinion:

Kallos are very popular hair masks known from the blogs of hair maniacs, which used to break records of popularity. No wonder as they were very cheap, good and accessible. Such a universal mask with a poor composition and thin consistency was perfect for washing hair, emulsifying, closing care such as B / S and of course for tuning DIY or homemade masks and conditioners.

The most famous type was the Kallos Color mask, as it was purely emollient, with linseed oil friendly to many types of hair, especially curly. At one time, it was a hit when washing hair with conditioner. However, it soon turned out that these cosmetics are not so pure – they contain Methylisothiazolinone and Methylchloroisothiazolinone, also known as ” itchy Msy” or “Msy” , which are allergenic preservatives. They cause scalp itching and / or hair loss in some people, so a lot of hair maniacs have either quit using these cosmetics or are only applied from the ear down, avoiding the sensitive scalp, so they can’t hurt us.

I, too, bought my Kallos Banana mask on the wave of their popularity, a long time ago. It was also one of the first nutritional supplements I consciously bought. I chose this fragrance and the type spontaneously, because in the middle of a cold winter it seemed warm and pleasant to me. I was afraid that it would be too chemical, suffocating banana, but on the contrary, I was wrong, it smelled divine, like pudding or banana dessert. Unfortunately, I didn’t know much about hair care back then, so such a large jar stood on the bathroom shelf for a long time until it expired, because it was used only as a traditional conditioner.

The very light conditioner itself, of course, treated as a mask after washing your hair (especially with a strong detergent shampoo) will be definitely too light for everyone. After all, it is free of silicones, adhesives, oils, etc. and there is no chance of nourishing or adding weight to our hair. However, it can be good for children, for detangling tangled hair, an unpleasant activity that will surely be made even more pleasant by the smell. It will be good for washing your hair with a conditioner.

It worked well in this role, I have no objections. The mask was creamy, not too thin, and it wasn’t dripping from the fingers. After use, the hair was always smooth, soft and easy to comb. The smell, however, hit me very quickly, it became unbearable. Despite everything, I tried to use the product, used it with every wash, and even gave a huge refill to my friends. I shaved my legs with it and used it as a body lotion in the shower. In this role, the delicious-smelling cosmetics work best, the skin was moisturized and smooth, and the showers were much faster.

What else can we use it for? See: 3 ways to use a hair conditioner

You can also get Kallos masks in these small jars, but the huge, liter jar-bucket is the most profitable. Some types cost from PLN 8 in promotions, so it’s worth trying. Fixed price: approx. PLN 12 per liter.

Summarizing :

It is still one of the cheapest cosmetics with a nice composition that we can buy on the hair market. The price for this capacity is excellent, I don’t even feel sorry for washing my hair with a conditioner every day. I will definitely buy other fragrances from this series someday, but maybe in smaller jars. If you are not afraid of allergies or you only want to use the length of your hair – I highly recommend it.

Do you know the Kallos masks?
