Green Pharmacy, Pelling with shea butter and green coffee

I very rarely buy ready-made, shop peelings like Green Pharmacy. It is obvious how easy it is to make such a product yourself at home. In fact, all you need to do is mix something abrasive with something oily, such as coconut butter or even kitchen rapeseed oil with sugar, to create a perfectly working peeling.

Sometimes, however, I forget to make myself such liniment and I have nothing to reach for while in the shower. And sometimes I get such products, I will open them with momentum and it is no longer possible to give it to someone else who would not be bothered by the natural composition of the product so much. Well, the peeling came to live in my bathroom, spent about a year on the shelf and even used it sometimes, for lack of something else. The use was quite pleasant, and now, in the middle of the cold winter, when my skin does not bother so much paraffin, I decided to finally lose it.

Composition analysis:

Unfortunately, we have the most paraffin and petroleum jelly here – they have the role of lubricants in this product, which glide salt and sugar crystals and also provide a greasy protective layer on the skin. Further, Glyceryl Stearate, used as a re-oiling agent in rinse-off and often bath cosmetics, creates an occlusive layer on the surface, i.e. it has an indirect moisturizing effect (prevents excessive evaporation of water). It also has smoothing properties. Ceteareth-20, an additional washing substance, removes impurities from the surface of the skin – this is caused by the slight foaming of the peeling. Salt and sugar, as in this type of scrub, silk and we already have a scent, i.e. vitamin E, shea butter and coffee extract, we have really little in this product.

Green Green Pharmacy, Pelling with shea butter and green coffee

My opinion:

A dense, full-bodied and beautifully fragrant dark green peeling. If I hadn’t looked at the ingredients, you would have imagined that it really only contains three ingredients: shea butter, green coffee oil extract and sugar. Unfortunately, the composition is paraffinic, not the best, not the richest, but well, I found that the peeling type lubricant stays on the skin for only a few minutes, once a week, it will not dry it too much, on the contrary – it will leave a protective layer before going out to frost.

After such peeling, we no longer use lotions, especially since none of them would be absorbed by this layer … But the skin is already greased enough. Nevertheless, during the next shower, I wash off all this paraffin with a gel with a stronger detergent, and the body is properly moisturized. He was not hurt.

It is a sugar scrub, a scratching post, so it is known that it will rub off a lot, but I do not feel salt there, the peeling did not irritate my sensitive skin after depilation. Upon contact with water, it quickly dissolved, giving a ‘moisturizing’ layer and a glide. It left the skin smooth and fragrant, with a characteristic paraffin smoothing.

Summary

Is it worth buying Green Pharmacy peeling? I will tell you yes and no.

I got the peeling as a gift, she didn’t buy it herself because of the ingredients. However, it was nice to use as a quick, handy scrub when I didn’t have time to make homemade potions. I used it in the winter when my skin needed this paraffin coating to protect against drying from the cold and heaters.

However, I would prefer to use a 100% natural, oiling product, made of real shea butter, and I could also pay more for such a pleasant, organic peeling.

Because I believe that the price of this product, as for practically the same, cheap paraffin with sugar, is definitely overstated.
