Alverde, lotus flower hairspray, organic rice

Hello dear! The time has finally come for more stylist reviews on my blog, so I decided to tell you about Alverde, Organic lotus flower hair spray, organic violet rice. I bought it a long time ago in the German shop dRogeria DM, I was tempted by the description that it is a natural cosmetic.

So it would be an alternative to store-bought, drying and unhealthy varnishes. In this cosmetic, moisturizing extracts and natural polymers are intended to moisturize them, define curls and fix the hairstyle. If you are interested in how the cosmetic works for me, please read the rest of this post.

Alverde hairspray, My opinion:

I bought it a long time ago in the German shop dRogeria DM, I was tempted by the description that it is a natural cosmetic. So it would be an alternative to store-bought, drying and unhealthy varnishes. In this cosmetic, moisturizing extracts and natural polymers are intended to moisturize them, define curls and fix the hairstyle.

The composition of the varnish is simple and natural, it cannot be denied. At first glance, it seems to be a healthier alternative, and it has eco packaging, not an aerosol, right? Unfortunately, as a varnish, it did not work at all. The product is easy to use, the spray leaves a good mist, but the durability is poor. If I use more, the hair will stick together completely, as if to spray sugar. My hair was always sticky, droopy and weighed down, or loose like hay, dull and coarse. I did not find the cause of this problem for a long time, I used to use organic and natural cosmetics, but … I did not read the ingredients of these cosmetics at the time.

As it turned out, Alverde hairspray is not healthy for your hair. The product is based on alcohol, which dries the hair enormously, the only varnish-like substance that I found in the composition is shellac.

It is a type of natural resin obtained from insect secretions (Lac laccifer). Used as a substance softening the epidermis. Skin moisturizing preparation. It creates a layer on its surface that allows you to retain hydration. Its functions in cosmetics include Emollient, Conditioning agent, Binder, Film forming agent, Softening agent. Extracts used in hairspray can also have similar functions, although I think they mainly condition the hair, they are not famous for being sticky.

So it is based on substances that stick the hair together rather than fix the hairstyle, further on moisturizers and extracts, and the strangest of them is glycerin, which can let curly hair loose, we already have a smell.

To sum up:

I only used the product a few times and finished cursing my own stupidity as a preservative for DIY homemade teabags – after all, it has some extracts and a lot of alcohol. I do not recommend this product, especially I do not recommend it as a hair spray, for everyday use and especially for non-frizzy hair. Maybe a spray for resuscitation of exceptionally dry-resistant cosmetics? I do not know.

Do you know Alverde stylers from DM?
